Also Hirnschmalz eingeschaltet und auseinandergeschraubt.

  • Hello. Good work on the Engcon and the Horus.

I don't think the coupler with gripper is the best way. I did this for my JCB because the EC214 at 1:15 scale is very small. But for a bigger version like your 40t bagger, a separate coupler and gripper version is much better in use. Just my opinion.
In many cases we can use the gripper and keep the bucket.

    Here is mine :

  • Hello Steve,
you are absolutely right. I have taken over the basic idea of you and adapted to my design. thus I save a channel.
How did you solve this with your Kobelco sk? Do you have a sketch for me, photos do not exist in the forum

    Best regards

  • Number of channels is not a problem with open TX, For this one I use 16 channels only. The external module is disabled.

Here is the wiring diagram of my Engcon EC226. I use 8 wire slip ring

  • As always perfect what you do.

I also use the 8 slip ring and otx.

For me it's about how you solved the separate quick coupler mechanics. that is still my problem. Did you install a magnet or an engine for it? There would be a photo helpful.
You always have great ideas for your projects

  • I made it, with 6mm gearmotor. The lock is asymetrical but all effort is in front of the coupler, so after more than 220hours, any problem or exessive play.

Coupler wide is 25mm. In front you can see 4 holes for automatic connection.

  • Thanks for the pictures, solved very well.

My coupler is 38mm wide. Is already impressive with what little space you have implemented. Opentx is a big help with the software

  • Yeah Open TX, is very powerfull. I use it since my first Menzi Muck,

How did you control the tracks ?

For mine, I use a switch over with the back joystick, but loose the 3rd piece boom cylinder and gripper when I use the tracks command.
I'm thinking to put 2 more joystick on the back with L1 and L1, for track control.

  • Hi Steve,

    I configured the following:
Driving chain right = mixer, Ch6, source: S1, switch SD down
Driving chain left = mixer, Ch7, source: S2, switch SD down

Pliers Motor right = Mixer, Ch10, Source: S1, Switch SD up
Pliers motor left = mixer, CH11, source: S1, switch SD up

Coupler open: Mixer, CH 10, Source: L01, Switch SA up
Coupler close: Mixer, CH 10, Source: L02, Switch SA down

Rotator tilt = mixer, CH12, source: LS, switch SB up
Rotate rotator = mixer, CH9, source: RS, switch SB up

    Joystick Mini = LS / RS and S1 / S2

that's very pleasant for me to control. Whereby I still have to train properly :/
