Liebherr PR 754/764

  • Hi friends,
here i started to build my own Caterpillar D9(i planed it that way)in 3ds max 2009.
There is only a chains that will bear separate single-tracks(or double tracks like Liebher´s front loader) with three screw holes.
On the side there are bolts that will act as drive-gear and that they will hold chain-links together.

I´d like to hear your opinion, critics/comments,

    Best regards,
    Edo

  • Hello Edo,
a nice project what you have selected to you.

Am curious very much if the first construction progress are to be seen.
With the chain looks already not bad.

  • ähhmmmm.......
I don´t know, if you know.... but the title of this thread is CAT D9
But in your CAD programm is an Liebherr dozer....

    Please Check it???

    Gruß Alex :Top:

Yes i know. Perhaps you didn´t read full post before, where i said that im in doubt to start with Liebherr´s, Chtz Bulldozer, or with Caterpillar.
As far as Cat has that high-drive, it was a bit (i was thinking) too complicated to recreate those tracks.
Thats why i choose Liebherrs one.
    Also, i should rename thread.

    Thanks Alex,
    Edo

  • Hy Edo,

I´ll rename your Thread, when you say me what type of Dozer you want to build.

    Best regards

  • Hello Edo,

Is that because im silly with my project?
Or is it because im not german speaker?

It is no one answering, because you don´t write in german, sorry.

Not all users here can speak english or understand at all.

But what you build looks great 03-Sterne !!!!

It would be stupid if you here would write nothing more.

Annoyance you not if nobody writes what, the rest of us is very interessted in your Project. You´ve got nearly 800 klicks on your project.

    So, keep going :D

    Greetings from Germany

    Daniel

  • Your looks very good so far.
I'm a bit curious about your use of 3DS-Max.
Is it possible to extract drawings for manufacturing-purposes?
Untill now, i've thought it was intended for 3D-modelling only. :kratz:

    Keep on your work :Top:
    best regards
    Andreas

p.s.: You don't need to worry about nobody being interested in your project.
As Daniel said, many Users don't speak/read/write english so well.

  • Oh no, i will write in here a lots more, but shame on me, considering to German language, because i should learn it a bit more(a lots actually):)

Thank you Daniel i was in doubts to continue or to dismiss.
As you can see i have major problem here-thats those two electro motors that makes bulldozer a lots wider then it should be.
So, i have got to find another soultion(which will be, perhaps, smaller motors in size).

Also i need advices how to position those motors, how to conect them, and how to make them responive to radio-controle unite.

  • Thanks Andreas, but as you can see i have certain problems in there.
It is possible to extract drawings from 3ds max, thats no problem.
Yes it is modeling package, but you can do rendering also, animation etc.
If you are curious, just let me know what you need to know, and ill help you to get started in 3ds max.
Many civil, machine engineers, architects use it for many purposes-you should also.

Anything that you need on 3ds max, just go ahead and ask me.

    Best regards,
    Edo
